How many of you have picky eater kids? Is your hand raised, because mine is!
Most assume that because I’m a food blogger my kids must be good eaters. NOT TRUE.
My kids think the word “dinner” is a bad word. Because they KNOW most meals are NEW. All my kids want is for a mom who cooks the same 10 meals over and over again.
At this point I just keep telling myself, ONE DAY….ONE DAY they’ll appreciate the fact that their mom could cook, enjoyed cooking and that they WEREN’T stuck with the same 10 meals throughout their life.
When I put this on the table, crock pot sweet & sour meatballs, my daughter had a complete meltdown and refused to try it.
In our house we have a rule. You have to try at least one bite. If they don’t like it, fine, we’ll work with them. However most meals I KNOW they’ll like so it’s just getting them to try that FIRST bite.
This was one of those meals. NO way, Jose was my daughter going to try it. However, when she DID take that first bite of these sweet & sour meatballs, she was pleasantly surprised at how good they were.
Not only did she clean her plate that night but she requested it for lunch the next day.
That my friends is a win. If you like the flavor combination of sweet & sour chicken, then give these sweet & sour meatballs a try.
Simple, crock pot meal that takes almost zero effort to create, PLUS it makes a GREAT freezer meal! Just toss all the items into a freezer gallon sized bag and when you’re ready to cook it, toss them all into the crock pot, set it and walk away! Easy Peasy!
